Position: Marketing/ Communications Specialist
Job Description:
The Create Healthy marketing and communications specialist works with internal and external teams to secure connection with the Hill Country community. Through digital and traditional media, this person ensures brand integrity and consistency while conveying and promoting the mission and objectives of Create Healthy. This includes:
- Managing communications and promotions for Create Healthy’s funding initiatives, events, and programs.
- Actively planning and developing messaging with colleagues and external partners such as agencies and contractors.
- Effectively utilizing content across multiple channels to reach target audiences.
- Maintaining authenticity and brand integrity through Create Healthy’s core areas of support through its various programs.
- Acting as an advocate for our community, their health and wellness needs, and our programs.
- Advancing awareness and the reputation of Create Healthy.
- Exhibiting a passion for understanding audience behavior and decision-making, influencing audiences to take action, and monitoring media.
- Demonstrating a drive for personal and intellectual growth and curiosity to learn and improve.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Working with external partners to plan, develop, and implement campaigns.
- Reviewing campaigns and content for digital and traditional media.
- Collaborate with external partners on local media placement and media schedule.
- Coordinate and plan for local events and oversee promotions.
Skills and Experience
- Understanding of digital media such as social media platforms and website content management.
- Ability to organize, plan, and implement multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong adherence to deadlines and attention to detail.
- Maintain relationships with local media outlets.
- Present and maintain a professional appearance in interactions with team members and community stakeholders.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or related fields is required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in communications, community affairs, or media relations is required.
