Jayne Pope, RN, MBA, FACHE
President and CEO
Jayne E. Pope is the President and Chief Executive Officer for Create Healthy, the legacy conversion entity that formed when Hill Country Memorial became part of Methodist Healthcare System.
Prior to accepting the position, Jayne served for a decade as CEO of Hill Country Memorial, a 2014 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award recipient, where she also served as Chief Nursing Officer. Hill Country Memorial has been an 8 year recipient of the TOP 100 Hospital Award during Jayne Pope’s tenure as CNO and CEO. Formerly, Jayne was the CEO of Clinic Systems at a large network of clinics in Central Texas, which she led in achieving the highest level of Patient Centered Medical Home recognition. Jayne holds a Master of Business Administration from The University of Western Ontario Ivey Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Western Ontario.
Jayne has served as a member of the Texas Hospital Association Board of Trustees, a Board Member of the Texas Organization of Rural and Community Hospitals, and a member of the ACHE Nominating Committee. She was recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of America’s Rural Hospital and Health System CEOs to Know from 2013 through 2023. In 2020, Jayne received the Baldrige Foundation’s Harry S. Hertz Leadership Award.
Amanda M. Stevens, MBA, FAHP, CFRE
Vice President of Strategic Philanthropy
Amanda M. Stevens is the Vice President of Strategic Philanthropy for Create Healthy, the legacy conversion entity that formed when Hill Country Memorial became part of Methodist Healthcare System.
Prior to her work at Create Healthy, Amanda was the Chief Strategy Officer for Hill Country Memorial and Executive Director for the Foundation for HCM. She is a Fellow in the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, Certified Fund-Raising Executive and holds a Master of Business Administration in Ethical Leadership from Schreiner University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business and Computer Information Systems from Oklahoma Baptist University. Prior to her service at HCM, she worked for an international non-profit organization in Chengdu, Sichuan, China.
In 2018, Amanda was recognized by the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy as one of their inaugural 40 under 40 leaders in healthcare development. She was named the 2020 Outstanding Woman of the Year by the Fredericksburg, Texas, Chamber of Commerce. An avid volunteer, Amanda spends much of her free time volunteering for local nonprofits and community organizations.
Chris Semmler
Vice President of Finance
Chris leads the financial operations, analysis, and planning for Create Healthy.
Before working with Create Healthy, Chris held director-level roles in decision support and business services at Hill Country Memorial Hospital for 14 years, where he led financial analysis for the hospital and supported its business operations, including supply chain management. He is a graduate of Angelo State University and has a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a focus on finance and accounting.
He is a strong team player who values communication, critical thinking, integrity, and a hands-on approach to business processes. Chris is passionate about working to find opportunities in operations and finance that benefit the mission and vision of Create Healthy.
