Press Release: Create Healthy Releases 2024 Community Report

 Celebrating a Year of Impact Across the Hill Country

July 23, 2025 (Fredericksburg) – Create Healthy’s newly released 2024 Community Report details the philanthropy’s nearly $5 million in investments that advanced health and wellness across the Hill Country. From supporting mental health services and childcare access, to funding healthcare education and community infrastructure, the report captures a year of community investment.

In total, Create Healthy awarded $4.9 million to more than 50 partner organizations in 2024. These investments reached every generation, from children and families to older adults, and touched every corner of the region, including Gillespie, Mason, Llano, and surrounding counties.

“Every number in this report represents a life touched, a need met, or a barrier removed,” said Jayne Pope, RN, MBA, president and CEO of Create Healthy. “Our goal is to invest in local leaders and local solutions, and this year’s work reflects that commitment. We’re proud of what we accomplished alongside our partners in 2024, and we hope this report inspires even more collaboration in the future.”

Key highlights from the 2024 Community Report include:

  • $700,000 given to support Hill Country mental health
  • $2.5 million to support early childhood development
  • $400,000 to strengthen healthy living

The Community Report also shares grantee spotlight stories that illustrate how funding from Create Healthy helped meet critical needs in 2024.
