2025 Fuel to the Fire Grantees Selected: Matching program supports Hill Country nonprofits with year-end fundraising support

Nine Hill Country nonprofit organizations have been selected for the 2025 Create Healthy Fuel to the Fire program. Create Healthy will match up to $25,000 in donations raised by Dec. 31, 2025, for each of the organizations.

“Create Healthy exists to support health and wellness in the Hill Country, and Fuel to the Fire is one of the many ways we do that” said Jayne Pope, RN, president and CEO, Create Healthy. “Our simple, impactful mission means we continually look for more ways to partner with and support the many wonderful nonprofit organizations working to address food insecurity, senior loneliness, literacy, mental health, and early childhood development in our community.”

The nine organizations represent 10 projects serving Gillespie, Llano, Mason Counties and Comfort in the areas of healthy living, mental health, and early childhood development.

2025 Fuel to the Fire organizations:

  • Boys & Girls Club of the Highland Lakes
  • Boys & Girls Club of the Texas Hill Country (Comfort and Fredericksburg)
  • Friends of Enchanted Rock State Natural Area
  • Golden Hub Senior Center Foundation of Fredericksburg
  • The Good Samaritan Center
  • The Grace Center of Fredericksburg
  • Hill Country Community Needs Council

This is the third year of Fuel to the Fire. In 2024, it helped Hill Country nonprofits raise more than $228,000 in funds from the community to strengthen local programs and projects supporting health, wellness, and opportunity.
