Giving Tuesday: Fueling Health and Opportunity in the Hill Country
Giving Tuesday is a reminder of how much stronger communities become when people choose to give — time, resources, compassion, or support — to the organizations that care for their neighbors every single day. Across the Hill Country, nonprofits are doing the work that keeps families steady, connects seniors to community, supports children, protects our natural spaces, and makes our region a healthier place to live.
At Create Healthy, we see this generosity in action all year. Our mission is simple: invest in the health and wellness of the Hill Country and empower communities to build a healthy future. We partner with local nonprofits because their work reflects the heart of this region. Practical, community-rooted, and deeply committed to improving lives.
“Giving Tuesday is a reminder of how powerful local generosity can be. When we come together to support the organizations serving our neighbors every day, we strengthen the health and resilience of the entire Hill Country,” said Create Healthy President & CEO Jayne Pope.
This Giving Tuesday, we encourage everyone in the Hill Country to support the nonprofits that matter most to them. Whether you choose to give to a community organization you love, volunteer your time, or share their mission with others, your support directly strengthens the place we all call home.
For those looking for a nonprofit to support, Create Healthy’s Fuel to the Fire program provides an additional opportunity for ten wonderful organizations. Through December 31, donations to this year’s participating organizations are matched up to $25,000. It’s one way to make Giving Tuesday go a little further for the nonprofits serving our region.
A Community of Impact
Hill Country nonprofits provide essential services across the region, including:
- Early childhood development and safe, reliable childcare
- Senior meals, transportation, and social connection
- Mental health counseling and crisis support
- Access to medical and dental care
- Food security for families and older adults
- Conservation and stewardship of the land
On Giving Tuesday, we celebrate them all. Their dedication is what keeps our communities strong, resilient, and connected.
