Create Healthy Opens Applications for 2026 Scholarships: High School Seniors and College Students Encouraged to Apply by March 31

Create Healthy has opened applications for its 2026 Student Scholarship Program, supporting both graduating high school seniors and current college students from the Hill Country pursuing education in health-related fields.

The scholarship program reflects Create Healthy’s ongoing commitment to strengthening Hill Country communities by investing in education and the future healthcare workforce. By helping reduce financial barriers, scholarships support students preparing for careers that directly contribute to community health and well-being.

“We believe supporting students who want to pursue careers in healthcare is one of the most meaningful ways we can invest in the long-term health of our communities,” said Jayne Pope, RN, MBA, president and CEO of Create Healthy. “These scholarships help our local students take an important step toward vital healthcare careers.”

High school scholarships are available to graduating seniors planning to pursue higher education in a healthcare-related field. College scholarships are available to students currently enrolled in healthcare-focused degree programs. Scholarship recipients are selected based on a letter of recommendation, a minimum GPA requirement of 2.5, a short-answer response, an interview, and demonstrated financial need.

The application deadline for both scholarships is March 31.

“Every application represents a student who wants to give back with a meaningful healthcare role,” said Erin Carter, Scholarships Council Chair for Create Healthy. “Our goal is to support students who are committed to serving others and who may need financial assistance to continue their education.”
