Create Healthy 2025 Community Report Details More Than $7 Million in Hill Country Investments
Create Healthy has released its 2025 Community Report, which provides a comprehensive look at how the foundation invested in the health and well-being of the Texas Hill Country throughout the year.
The report details $7.2 million in grants, sponsorships, scholarships, and other philanthropic giving across Gillespie, Blanco, Llano, and Mason counties, and the town of Comfort.
Guided by its strategic priorities of mental health, early childhood development, health education, and healthy living, Create Healthy’s 2025 work included support for nonprofit partners, student scholarships, Wellness Center programming, and regional planning efforts to strengthen community health over the long term.
“Our 2025 Community Report reflects the power of strategic local investment,” said Jayne Pope, RN, MBA, FACHE, president and CEO of Create Healthy. “What inspires me most is the depth of collaboration across the Hill Country. Nonprofit leaders, educators, healthcare and social services providers, volunteers, and civic partners continue to show what can be achieved through shared purpose and collective responsibility.”
“This report reflects another strong year of disciplined stewardship and meaningful community investment,” said Joel Junker, chair of the Create Healthy Board of Directors. “Create Healthy exists to serve the Hill Country for the long term, and this work shows what is possible when thoughtful governance, local partnerships, and clear priorities come together in the service of healthier communities.”
Other highlights from the 2025 Community Report include:
- $270,000 committed through Fuel to the Fire 2025, supporting 10 Hill Country nonprofits through matching grants.
- $250,000 awarded to scholarship organizations helping local students pursue higher education in healthcare.
