Create Healthy awarded a new round of grant funding for six Hill Country organizations supporting early childhood development, health living, and mental health.

First United Methodist Church Mason
Expansion of the Steady Steps Daycare program
San Antionio Food Bank
Mason County and Comfort food markets
Mercy Gate Ministries
Trauma-informed support for sexual exploitation victims
Hill Country Community Needs Council
Supplemental nutrition and mental health resources for children
Texas Ramp Project
Improving accessibility at home for low-income older adults
Boys And Girls Clubs of Texas Hill Country
Healthy lifestyle programs and initiatives
All submitted grant applications are first reviewed by Create Healthy’s grants council with final approval given by its board of directors composed of community volunteers. Applications from eligible nonprofit organizations are accepted year-round.
This is the fourth round of grants Create Healthy has approved. Previous Create Healthy grant recipients include the Good Samaritan Center, Fredericksburg Independent School District, and the Comfort Golden Age Center Foundation.
