Press Release: Create Healthy Opens 2025 Fuel to the Fire Application
Matching program supports Hill Country nonprofits with year-end fundraising support
Sept. 3, 2025 (Fredericksburg) – For the third year in a row, Create Healthy will partner with area nonprofit organizations to support their year-end fundraising. The 2025 Fuel to the Fire program offers up to $25,000 in matching donations to qualifying Hill Country-based nonprofits focused on health and wellness. Last year, through Fuel to the Fire, Create Healthy distributed more than $228,000 in matching funds to ten nonprofits across the region.
“Fuel to the Fire multiplies the impact of local giving,” said Jayne Pope, RN, CEO and president, Create Healthy. “By matching community donations, we’re enhancing local organizations’ incredible work in mental health, early childhood development, health education, and healthy living.”
Eligible nonprofits may apply through the Create Healthy website. The application deadline is September 19, 2025.
Focus Areas:
- Mental Health – Expanding access to emotional wellness and behavioral health support.
- Early Childhood Development – Enhancing learning, care, and developmental outcomes for young children.
- Health Education – Empowering individuals and families with tools and knowledge to lead healthier lives.
- Healthy Living – Supporting initiatives that promote fitness, nutrition, and quality of life across all ages.
Selected organizations have until December 31, 2025, to secure community donations that will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $25,000 by Create Healthy.
