August 2025
I’m proud to share a major milestone with you — Create Healthy’s 2024 Community Report.
In 2024, thanks to our partnerships across the Hill Country, Create Healthy invested nearly $5 million into programs and services that promote mental health, early childhood development, and healthy living in Gillespie, Blanco, Llano, Mason Counties and the town of Comfort.
From school-based mental health support and renovated community-based healthcare clinics to expanded childcare and elder services, this report brings those efforts to life. It’s a snapshot of the progress we’ve made together, and a reminder of what’s possible when we invest locally.
I invite you to explore the full report and see how our collective efforts are building a stronger, healthier Hill Country.
With gratitude,

Jayne Pope, RN, MBA
President and CEO, Create Healthy
Hill Country Resources Directory
Create Healthy had the privilege of supporting the Hill Country Mental Health Coalition’s initiative to eliminate barriers for residents in accessing locally available assistance with mental health, food and shelter, and family support. The result is Hill Country Resources, an online platform available 24/7 and open to everyone.
Hill Country Resources is a directory of human services, including nonprofit organizations and other support organizations, in the Hill Country for individuals or caretakers.

Funding Community-Led Solutions
From early childhood development and elder support to mental health and medical care — we awarded more than $540,000 in our latest grants cycle to support local organizations that are building an even stronger, healthier Hill Country. That brings our total so far this year to nearly $1.2 million in grants.
Mental Health Summit
On July 16, the Hill Country Mental Health Coalition convened its annual mental health summit as part of their ongoing work to collaborate, share information and resources, and identify ways to continue advancing mental health across the Hill Country. The Create Healthy team presented the Landscape Assessment, conducted over the past year, which identifies the providers and agencies that offer behavioral health services in Create Healthy’s catchment area and describes the services they offer, the population they serve, their organizational capacity, and the barriers they experience in trying to meet those needs.
The Hill Country Mental Health Coalition brings together schools, law enforcement, social services organizations, individual behavioral health providers, and others to identify areas of service need, support potential collaborations and partnerships among existing entities, and strengthen available resources.
